Immersion courses are a combination of two different courses: a regular content course taught in French and an accompanying 90-minute language course.
A language professor attends the content course with you, and then teaches the language class to help you develop the French skills directly relevant to your field of study. This language support is offered in first- and second-year courses to help you lay the foundation for your future bilingual studies.
Note: You can register for immersion courses even if you’re not enrolled in French Immersion Studies. You just need to have taken FLS 2513 or above or pass the immersion admissions test to do so.
