In order to register, you will need to carefully read the list of immersion courses. Use this list to find the course code of your regular content course taught in French and its corresponding language course.
- Pick a course offered with an Immersion option from the main list. Be sure to sign up for the correct section (for example section A, B, etc.) of the content course, because not all sections offer Immersion. You can find this information on the Immersion course list.
- Next, register for the accompanying language course. It, too, will have a specific section. You must register for the language course you are eligible for, either FLS 2581 or FLS 3581. Refer to the results of your Immersion admission test to determine which one to take.
For example, referring to the list of Immersion courses for the Fall 2011 session, we see that HIS 1510-A (Le monde du XXe siècle jusqu'en 1945) is offered in immersion, but not HIS 1510-B. Furthermore, FLS 2581-H3 and FLS 3581-H3 are both offered as accompanying language courses. To take the immersion course, you must sign up for HIS 1510-A, and then sign up for one of the supporting FLS sections. Remember to sign up for the language course level (either 2581 or 3581) you are eligible for.
Note that you may choose the accompanying language course only if you are already registered for the content course, so sign up for the content course first.
